Step 1: Consultation

Free 30 minutes consultation in person to run through design requirements and access feasibility. Then we can arrange the best date to visit your property to measure up and discuss further.

Step 2: Property Visit

We will meet you at the property on the date/time agreed, discuss requirements further (hopefully over a brew) and then begin the measured survey.

During the survey we will also identify any drainage and services (electric, gas, water) that might be affected by the development.

Step 3: Architectural Plans

Once we have all our measurements, we will return back to the office to then draw the existing and proposed plans. Which we aim to finish and provide within 10 working days.

You can then review drawings at your own leisure. We understand that ideas and visions are always changing, so you can request changes/updates whenever you want during this stage at no extra cost. We will aim to issue updated plans as soon as possible to keep things moving (but hopefully we perfect the design in the first attempt).

Step 4: Planning Approvals

Once the design has been agreed and you are happy with the plans we will then advise what approvals you will need. We can submit the relevant application on your behalf.

We will also track the progress of the application, speak to the planning officer and see it through to the decision date, to ensure approval.

Step 5: Working Drawings

When we have planning approval, we can then progress onto the working drawings.

These are detailed construction drawings which a builder will need to work and price from. We will also obtain building control approval (similar to the planning approval process we will tack the progress and see it through to completion.)

Step 6: Start Construction

With the working drawings in hand and the building control application logged, you can now appoint a builder and crack on with construction. We can also recommend builders if necessary.

We understand that it can be very frustrating and can delay the project if you need answers to questions when you begin construction. That is why we provide a direct contact service to our architect, so that we can support you through to completion.
